Bumblebee review

Bumblebee harkens back to the heartfelt Spielberg films of the 80’s that encourage exploration and acceptance of the unknown. There’s a bit of E.T in Bumblebee and that’s not a bad thing.

This latest installment of the Transformers franchise is a prequel of sorts that sets up how Bumblebee came to Earth and depicts the war for Cybertron. The basic plot is somewhat similar to the first Shia Lebeouf film and that’s not a bad thing either! This time though we have Hallie Steinfeld as our protagonist and she’s fantastic!

I really dug the film. It’s fun, fast paced, and has some great humor.

A solid 3/5
